This was fun, I feel like a needed a white handband and platform boots
Side angle
The Back
The Front
I really had to battle the wind this morning, just note, its jersey so if you see some ripples its the wind.
the collar and sleeve
The Back
The pockets
Conclusion:
An Easy dress to make.
The biggest obstacle was getting rid of the excess fabric in the bust area which I didn't want, I took off 1.5 inches of fabric on both sides, I started off with a size 12 which is supposed to be a 34" bust, 3.5 inches smaller than my bust size.
I eliminated the excess fabric using the french curve to gradually slope in from the sleeve seam into the waistline area and back out to a size 14 for the lower portion of the dress. I would definitely recommend that you make a muslin for this dress, at least to get the top portion just right. See other post for details.
Butterick part 1 and Butterick part 2
As for the inside of the pockets, I decided to over it with the twill tape and I will post a photo of that later.
I started altering the pattern for my simplicity 3775 version of the NY&Co dress. So next post will be all about that.
I'm going back to bed, this Root canal is kicking my butt.
More later

It's a gorgeous dress. I love the fabric choice too. You succeded well in reducing the flare of the dress. I like it better the way you did it than how it looks on the pattern.

this is great!
your version looks so much better than the pattern envelope...
and it really calls for a headband and those plateau-boots - this would look so very cool (though it looks cool already)!
think i have to watch out for some jersey. not for shirts, this time!
