It really wasn't a surprised when I was told, "This is just the beginning" as he posed in the mirror in his new shirt.
I can't blame him, I love custom made clothes, in fact, I prefer it.
I made a muslin, it fit him perfectly except for the length of the sleeves.
He complained that is looked to "school boyish"
His words, not mines.
So I lengthened the sleeve and he is super happy and planning his shirt collection as I type.
I'll leave him in his happy moment, I have my own collection to finish.
But this is the finish garment photos of his shirts
I highly, highly recommend this pattern, it was very easy to construction, just time consuming because I did the flat felled seams and I was very meticulate with them because they were a gift for someone else, you know how that goes.
Also, these are the two fabrics I used
Cotton shirting tomato red
Shirting blue plaid
These fabrics are great quality, lightweight and soft, which is important because men can be finicky about these things.
Just for reference purposes, this is my Spring/Summer Collection Pt 2, Navy and Yellow
From left to right
Navy Blue Cotton Lycra, Black Denim Jersey Knit, Blue/White crepe de chine (poly), harvest yellow rayon jersey.
This is it for spring summer, I will be focusing on buying fabrics for late summer/fall next.
As for SS2011 pt 1, I have two more pieces cut out and ready to go
I'm taking some time of this week so I can have an extended weekend to sew.
