Dual Tone Metallics
During Zoe Ona Fall 2013 show, an idea to use New Look 6188 View B to create.
I remembered noticing it for the first time a couple months ago and added the pattern to my ongoing pattern list on pinterest.
At the time, I thought of it as a great basic cropped jacket. You know we never have one when we need it.
Here, the dual color metallic is kind of refreshing right?
Double Peplum skirt
I luv when pleats are used to create the peplum effect and not gathers, it’s so much neater.
I also luv the idea of wearing a statement skirt for a special occasion instead of always thinking “dress” all the time.
My New Look 6003 is a good place to start.
Ruched and Wrapped
I’m currently working on a wrap skirt.
Currently, as in, cut out on the table, ready to go any day
now.
I’ve been seeing a lot of ruching with the wrap detail, is
it just me?
Cinched and knotted
Hmmm.
I’m intrigued.
I think I’m more fascinated on how they arrived at the knot detail.
Did they attach a perfectly made knot to the center of the gathers?
I haven’t seen this detail before on any dress in retail, gathered to the center, but not knotted.
Very interesting!

I like the pleats instead of gathers on the peplums too. Girl you had me at METALLICS lol. Love it
