Innovation sparks trends but you can’t go wrong with a well draped and custom fitted dress.
Not every designer HAVE TO reinvent the wheel every season in my opinion.
Costello Tagliapietra got some lack luster reviews because their dresses were so, what would be the right word, normal?
I agree that pastel floral prints can be a little granny-ish but I like graphic prints so I can’t judge them.
To each their own.
Other than that, I love the draping. I can see patterns made for home sewing in these
designs. They are very flattering. Most women would feel gorgeous and
comfortable in one of these dresses.
So on to the details.
Look 2, I would absolutely wear this.
I am a huge fan of knitted pieces, but I wish they didn’t style this dress this
way, you really can’t see the full beauty of the draping.
Look 10 is a great example of how a print can hide beautiful design details, if you look at a close up you can see all those pleats radiating from the waistline,so pretty. From afar, you can’t really see that and that’s a shame!
Look 14, do you see how the long pleats from the waistline makes the shoulders look like there are pleats there also. I like that! The fold-over waist detail is great too but the print kinda swallows it up.
Look 16 just looks comfortable.
Look 17, no one can tell me that sweetheart neckline is not the business, so classic, so feminine and that color is amazing.
Look 22, Mccalls patterns need to get on this, pronto!
Look 23 is LBD certified. I can wear that anywhere.
I thought the collection was great when it comes to the design of the dresses and did you see the shoes. Yes honey, floral print shoes, Luv it.

I love those pleats!! THat last dress is gorgeous!
