I usually like to leave the best for last, but I couldn’t wait, Lela Rose is one of my favorite designers on the runway each season. She does some amazing garments.
Inspiration for this collection: Brothers Grimm Fairy Tales
Lela Rose conjured up these fabulous and I mean, jaw dropping prints from her imagination of the scenery around where these fairytale stories could take place. She invoked her ideas of the cottages,
forest, woods, fairies and such, into the artwork for her fabrics.
Look 2. Peplum Top, Pencil skirt, I saved it as soon as I saw it, very doable.
Look 4 Seam details with piping. Adding piping to seams is a great way to show them up on a busy print. I also like the front position of the exposed zipper.
Look 6 I know its the print more than anything else that is making this dress but it shows you how much you can achieve with a simple design and a great pieces of fabric. I love the neckline and midriff.
Look 7 They are calling them the "cocktail trouser" are you planning
on adding one to your closet this fall?
Look 9 Vogue Patterns you can do this all day, get on it
Look 11. I want metallic fabric, seriously, when I go to NY to shop next month,
I just want to see shiny. The embroidery work is killing me, TDF!
Look 12. OMG, Simplicity 6150 View B right?
Look 14. Is there a pattern for this jacket out all ready. This is kinda
fabulous how its styled.
Look 16. So here we are seeing again the use of lace to give the look of a blocking effect as in her spring collection as well. I love that she is carrying over some of her designs so it becomes a signature.
Look 18. I love the drop shoulder and here it is again
Look 24. The fabric for this skirt is amazing, it looks like chiffon and silk.
Love 27. I love this dinner jacket.
Look 28. She looks like a walking confection.
Look 30. If ever I am trapped in the woods, hopefully I am photographed being
rescued in this dress, with spotless hair and makeup, lol. the dye job on that fabric is amazing.
Here are some closeups of the fabrics used to make the gowns, so wonderful!
Remember when I was talking about the statement skirt for the vogue spring collection
review?
Yep. That how you do it for fall, beautiful!
I love the pointed toe pump, classic silhouette. I know she does a line for payless, I wonder if those sandals are going to be part of a future collection.
I absolutely enjoyed watching this collection as always, from where she took her inspiration from, you can see the reference but it still look mature and stylish.
