Just wondering.
Did anyone get any of the patterns released in the current butterick collection?
I haven't seen much buzz about it, is there anything worth getting?

I bought B5851 and 5852 because of the potential I saw in the line drawings. I don't think this release got a lot of buzz because there's no sizzle to it.

I agree, not their best collection. The only one I like is the shirt dress, but I already have several shirt dress patterns.

I got B5846, B5859, B5851, B5849 and B5853. 5846 has really great bones for a shirt dress, IMO. I love the blouse and pants in 5859. 5851 is a very flattering shape for my figure. 5849 is also very flattering for my figure. 5853 I think has serious potential for color blocking without that awful bow thing going on. As is with the lace, princess seams, sweetheart neckline thing going on, and bow it's a disaster. It has good bones if you take that bow away, though. I have vintage inspired tastes, though, so it would make sense I would like a few of their kind of dated looking patterns.

I think if you're looking for excitement right out of the envelope Butterick is not the place to buy patterns. Occasionally they offer basic patterns that have potential for excitement. It's not often, that I've seen.
