If you haven't heard by now Simplicity has there new summer 2013 patterns out. I am still contemplating if I need to waste a few hours of my life to make a review video.
Don't get me wrong, there is a couple worthy patterns but Simplicity really needs to step their game up when it comes to presenting their new collections.
How many of you will rush out to get this pattern at first glance?
The pattern has interesting design lines.
The skirt has the curved seams which I told you all before that is trending on the spring runway. And the pocket detail is cute on the pants.
The styling SUCKS.
I mean, is there nothing else they can think about other than a white tee and yellow cami that looks discolored more than anything else?
The background, a piece of fabric jacked up on the side like a last minute thought and do you see the brick in the below photo, that was covered up in the first, what happened there?
No attention to detail what so ever. This is supposed to be professional?
The one think I can say about the Mccall pattern group, they are not cheap when it comes to presenting their collections.
Clearly a stylist is used and backgrounds are considered.
They do look books per collection.
Butterick even did front, back and side view photos for some of their new patterns to give the customer a better idea of how the finished garment looks.
Simplicity "Creative" Group....... is NOT creative when it comes to presenting their pattern collections.
And their fabric choices?
Wow, I don't think you can make fabric look cheaper.
They seriously need to get it together over there.

haha! I agree, the styling is crappy, almost as bad as the styling of the Spring McCalls patterns, with all the models holding or riding the same bicycle. What's up with that?

They need to do better. That is all.

I saw Simp 1760 in Joann's spring magazine, with coupons on back, view F maybe, and it was paired with knit top Simp 1916, view A. I thought of you! They had both these fabrics in stock, the bottomweight stretch sateen for the skirt and the black knit for the top with the tiny silver-studded stars spiraling on the bias (well glued on, I must say!).
