Summer in the hot, steamy city of New York was the inspiration for Tracy Reese spring 2013 collection.
The makeup on the model were applied to give a dewy or glistening appearance and the hair was made to look dampen with sweat kinda like how you look around 4pm trying to catch a train out of Manhattan after running around all day in heat.
Or, any other city. The garments are light with lots of ease and flowy. Comfort to move. I like it.
Another laser cut out jacket, this time, made out of blue suede.
Interesting combination of fabrics for this leather biker jacket. Tweed, animal print, embossed leather and solid leather.
I like the color of this blue biker jacket but I really like the combination of the green under the blue. Its really eye catching. Tracy Reese always use a lot of the patone forecast colors in her collections. That is why I always make sure to check her collection out, this is dusk blue and emerald.
She used the same combo here again and I love the casual feel of this dress with the slits and the shirring at the neckline.
I love this white cotton dress, they are styling these dresses with ankle pants or skinny jeans for a long caftan look. I also like the animal print sandals she paired up with the dress.
I love the print on this fabric, made a little longer, it would be a great dress to go shopping and run around in, I love these type of dresses that you can just throw over your head, add sandals and out the door in no time during summer.
When I first saw this look, I thought it was a dress in the photo, while watching the show I realized that it was a romper.
and this is the back
I love the look of the X back but its a turn off to me when I'm shopping, fall in love with the front but have to pass on it because of the back. Beautiful though, I love the fabric.
The double lapels and the soft shoulder makes this jacket a great addition for the career closet.
I just had to add this 70s throw back outfit. The mesh tank with the fringed suede mini. Its cute, I can definitely see some young fashionistas rocking this for sure.

You are so right about the sweaty look of the models - I'm a little confused by it, but I suppose that's part of the overall styling of the show. I, too, appreciate her use of color and it does seem more like the early 20s set would find the collection most wearable. Or perhaps, it's just the very skinny...
