Took a day off to get some things done and of course I ended up at a new mall, well new to me.
One of the things I look for when I'm snoop shopping is similarities in the things that catch my eye.
Today, it seems to be the colors within the orange family.
Fall is coming so I already know I will be feeling for orange and pink,
When I saw this dress, I was drawn to the design detail of the skirt, it is so pretty in person. The effect of the folds give it volume as if it has a petticoat like vogue 1225.
I absolutely loved this jersey strapless dress.
Its fully lined with built in bra cups, its so well made and I love the print. It has the same design in the front as the dress I had on.
I also liked this safari jacket, its more of a reddish orange, beautiful for the fall.
I was in the contemporary designer section of Macy's looking at these three LBDs.
The first two are from Ronni Nicole, I have never noticed this brand before, but they in a few stores like Belk's, Sears, Macy's and the home shopping network.
This one has lines like vogue 1250 but with gathers on this side like this one from Ann Taylor. Its fully lined and I was shocked to see that the fabric looked exactly like the jet set I get from Joanns, spot on. I was very happy about that.
The same thing with this one. I like the yoke on the sides. The metal bar doesn't do anything but look cute, the shawl collar and gathers on the skirt is making the ruching in the center. I wish my Joann carried cute embellishments like these.
and this one is from Ralph Lauren, a little bit more pricey, the ones on top were $70 bucks but this one is not lined in the bottom, just the bodice. I always, always look inside designer knits garments because I work with knits alot and I'm always curious to see what are you paying for, well, except for the name of course.
I don't think I want to line every knit dress, but lining the knits does make for a more high end effect, just with the added weight to the garment and it helps to make you look smoother, Ha!
And not cheap.
