Summary: Timeless and Wearable.
I think she picked some great silhouettes, prints and colors for her first collection.
I love the pleated neckline and the covered skinny belt. The print is called vintage rose but tits he silhouette of the dress and matching belt that is reminiscent of 1950s; however the printed roses are big which gives it a modern look. The black and pink is my favorite.
Its a sweater knit dress which I think was a great idea, this you can wear every year. I like the seam detail at the waistline and of course, its fitted through the hip and flares out above the knee.
Years ago, this probably won't be a "true" LBD because people wasn't wearing lace everywhere, it was a formal occasion thing, but the tide has changed. I really like this one and the close up version looks great. I like that has a high waistband so its slimming through the waist and hips. Only the bodice is lined and made out of a stretch woven which is similar to the one I made a few weeks ago.
This top remains me of M6650, which I made last year. I have to pull that one out sometime in the next few weeks
This one reminded me of M6606 which I made early this year. All the shirts in her collection are all timeless, clearly, they are my style, I was tickled when I saw them and to know I had my own versions in my closet already.
Even the choice of polka dot and leopard (animal print) was very smart.
I like that there is the shirring detail at the button band in the front and the back is all lace, I want the black one.
This is what I want to visit the store to check out.
You know the word "couture" is used so loosely these days but I want to see if its as well made as its said to be, just to quench my curiosity.
Its a fit and flare jacket, which is the common theme in her collection so it will flatter most.
